This course provides the legal, safety, and practical knowledge required to apply for the Montana Enhanced Concealed Weapon Permit, which allows expanded concealed carry privileges and reciprocity with additional states. The course emphasizes lawful firearm ownership, safe handling, use-of-force decision-making, and responsible concealed carry.

Course Breakdown: 80% Classroom, 20% Live Fire

Prerequisites:

* Must be legally eligible to possess firearms

* Government-issued photo ID

* Personal handgun, 100 rounds of ammunition, holster, eye & ear protection

Upon successful completion, students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate safe handling and operation of a handgun

2. Understand Montana firearm and self-defense laws

3. Explain the legal responsibilities of concealed carry

4. Understand use-of-force principles and justified self-defense

5. Demonstrate basic marksmanship and firearm competency

6. Successfully complete a 98 round live-fire qualification
