


Defender Lv 1 - Pistol + Carbine - June 28th

This course will take the fundamentals of pistol and carbine weapon handling and build upon them in a tactical application. Students will practice deploying and transitioning between platforms methodically and with precision based upon their situation and environment.
Defender Lvl 1 will be held in Somers, MT Range Directions will be emailed to you before the course.
This course will cover:
Equipment considerations and discussion
Malfunction clearing
Reloading
Transitioning between platforms
Moving and shooting
Cover & Concealment
Multiple targets
Positional Shooting
What you will need:
Semi-auto pistol
Carbine with sling & optic
Ammunition: 250 rounds pistol & 300 rounds carbine
Sturdy belt
Holster OWB Kydex holster
2x pistol mag carriers
Belt mounted rifle mag carrier and/or plate carrier or chest rig
3 magazines for each platform
Eye and ear protection
Appropriate range attire (no open toe shoes or low-cut shirts)
Hat recommended
Lunch & water
Pen & paper
Knee pads are optional but encouraged
*Participants of this course should have a solid grasp on firearm safety and a general understanding of pistol and rifle manipulation.
**Classes are non-refundable. Classes may be rescheduled due to weather, illness, low registration, natural disaster, etc. If you are unable to make the class for any reason you will have a guaranteed seat in the next available class.
